| In October 2006 we saw a beautiful white greyhound (Galgos) at the kennels in Corvera Spain. He had been a stray for around 6 months before being taken in by the Local Noahs Arc animal charity.
He was in a bad way, very thin and full of ticks and fleas. He was dehydrated and had cigarette burns to his rear quarters and also a burn to his skull!
This dog is one of those that captures your heart as soon as you meet him. He looks deep into your eyes when you stroke him, it almost as though he is looking into your soul!
The poor chap was suffering with depression when we met him. He would not eat, and spent all his time in voluntary isolation, despite vigorous attempts to socialise him.
He spent a further 8 months in the kennels before in desperation we were asked to Foster him as he seemed to be was losing the will to live. |
