Cocker Spaniel

Crossbreed/Hybrid:
A Cockalier is a cross between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Cocker Spaniel.

Cockalier Appearance:
The Cockalier's weight:
15 - 40 pounds

Cockalier Grooming/Coat:
Cockaliers needs grooming (brushing) often as their coat mats easily.

Temperament/Personality:
Cockaliers are calm and sweet tempered inheriting these traits from both their parents. They are very loyal dogs and should not show any signs of aggression.

A people-pleasing dog and with their level of intelligence training can be accomplished fairly easily, however, training does need to be consistent.

The Cockalier loves water and playing outdoors. They will enjoy walks with their owners and regular play.

The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed such as the Cockalier is to review the temperaments of the included breeds. The same is true for the other characteristics.

Families/Children:
Because of their calm temperament, Cockaliers make great family pets.

Cockalier Health:
Cockaliers may be prone to ear infections much like Cocker Spaniels are. They should have their ears cleaned on a regular basis.

Cockalier Needs:
A happy and healthy family addition and companion such as the Cockalier needs to be well-treated, well socialized, receive good mental stimulation, given appropriate exercise, room to run and your life-long affection.
